1948 RT1045 - JXN73 1 of 888 pcs After the disappearance of the rear roofbox on the RT3 body, it was not long before the front roofbox was also removed on its successor, the RT3/1. The cab remained unchanged on the RT3/1 but the blind box was modified to a more familiar 3-bay layout and a route number blind was added below the canopy, which now had a thin ?valance? or overhang. The body was mounted on the shortened 3RT chassis with the revised fuel tank. Country buses began to receive RT3/1s in November 1948 and RT1045 was one of nine delivered to Watford High street in December 1948.
